plot one

Overall plots

Arsonist:
the first overall plot is that of the arsonist. Adam and Ben are the only members of the YHA when he starts becoming well known. During Ben's first solo he fights a fire started by the arsonist. Then Criss joins them and she is the first to see him. That's when she learns how she can be helpful to the group. During this time the police (and Dylan) are trying to figure out how to deal with the YHA. Who are they? They are young and don't have licenses but are being helpful and the public knows about them and most people like them. Dylan is trying to uncover who they are and what their purpose is and is shown as someone in opposition to the YHA. After the YHA capture the arsonist and turn him over to the police they limp back to the McNamara building. Dylan follows them. Miss M. has been monitoring the police and realizes what she's been up to. Dylan sneaks into the building only to discover that She is expected. Miss M. speaks to her and they blackmail each other until Dylan agrees to join the YHA. There is a short arc (three volumes?) showing the others response to her joining the team and the first fight they are all involved in. At the end Dylan speaks to the police and works out a deal with them.

reserch

considering all my Senior project ideas have to do with super heroes I've been reading a lot of hero comics and watching a lot of hero shows.
I love research.
OK so what i've been watching so far is:
batman the animated series
Batman the brave and the bold
Ben 10
justice League
reading original green lantern comics
Others on my list are:
superman the animated series
superman doomsday
Green lantern first flight
Teen Titans
unbreakable

there are some others but they aren't coming to mind at the moment.

inspiration

recently I've been reading A Drifting Life by Yoshiro Tatsumi it's his memoir and it's full of facts about Japan when he was growing up. He's called the father of Japanese alternative comics, and i can kind of see it where i am in the book right now.

refrences for Flit

the closest real animal to flit is a cat, he's about the same size and apart from the ears and tail he's built like a cat, so here are some cat pictures.

The Plan

Ok here is the plan for my project.
As soon as they get the computers up i'm going to start building Flit in Maya.

My goal is to build and rig a low poly model of Flit for a game environment.
if i finish early i plan to build a landscape for him to play in, and start animating jumps a run cycle, and other things like that.

Flit:
flit is a small purple creature. his body structure is smiler to a cat but he is leaner with slightly longer legs and a tail like a lions. his ears are closer to a rabbits then a cats.

ok that's not the best picture but but there it is and there are plenty of pictures of him in the comic so go look at The Realm of my Roommates Closet (link in sidebar)

Elfwood

I found the elfwood site while looking for Halloween art, a lot of good stuff. reference

this is the picture from the inside of the cover of The Gunslinger.
OK i found the description in the Gunslinger so here it is.

it was a building. No two buildings, surrounded by a fallen rail fence. The wood seemed old, fragile to the point of elvishness; it was wood being transmogrified into sand. One of the buildings had a stable-- the shape was clear and unmistakable. the other was a house, or an inn. A way station for the coach line. the tottering sand-house (the wind had crusted the wood with grit until it looked like a sand castle that the sun had beat upon at low tide and hardened to a temporary abode) cast a thin line of shadow, and someone sat in the shadow, leaning against the building. And the building seemed to lean with the burden of his weight.

here it says it's a waystation for the coach line but i like the idea of a train stop so i'm going to change that. I do like the sound of the fence so i'll add that and take away some of the bushes i was planning on putting in.
