final project for the term

Skeets has become a spaceship. Just shows how size can change things. I think I like it as a space ship. Anyway, after making both Skeets and the science building I wanted to put them together for my final and somehow they ended up on Mars. then one dome seemed boring so i added a few more and now i have a base on Mars. I might go back at some point and give the buildings more detailed texture-maps, but for now I like how it came out.

Science Building

my final project for the term started with a building i have dubbed 'the science building'

Skeets

Skeets is the little robot sidekick of DC hero Booster Gold. He seems to change forms every other issue, so i decided to design my own version of him.

Maya Doodles

the staff is something i did the other day, and since we're doing hills with blender i decided to do a mountain with Maya.
the clip in the first picture is something different though. it's the clip from the pocket watch i got for Christmas. i might eventually get around to making the whole watch but for now i only have the clip and that isn't done yet.

Back to Maya

After having to work in blender for however long it's been, i was nostalgic for Maya. each of these took about 15 minuets the chest took the longest but that was just because i wanted to add the lock, I'm thinking about going back and adding hinges. you can't see the back but at the moment it doesn't have hinges and well...

Flit done

ok so i haven't been posting anything my bad. i have had flit almost done for quite a while now but i had a few things to tweak and the skin to finish. really i was just procrastinating. anyway here he is. i might rig him next term or whenever. we'll see. there are several things i might go back and tweak later if i have time.

Flit

Well i've finally gotten around to working on flit. before i was having trouble with the pictures, in the book it says t0 use a front and a side view, and i was doing fine with the side view but i couldn't manage to draw him from the front, at least not while standing, i can draw him sitting down from the front but that's not what i needed. then today i realized i didn't need to draw him from the front just from a diferent viewpoint, so i drew him from the top and that worked great. then i just need to remember to select and move groups of verts rather then trying to move them one at a time and it worked until Maya decided to stop working.
so i didn't get the whole three hours done, only two and a half. at least i'm farther along then i was.

since I already did a brief description of my city ant the only really interesting thing there is the mountain I think I'll move on to the next thing. My landscape.

I think I'm going to do a small waystation.

It will have 2 or 3 small buildings that are old and maybe partly falling down. They will be made of wood. Off to one side there will be a small platform. 2 steps will lead up to the platform and there will be an old worn (possibly collapsed) bench, (possibly on the platform possibly to one side.) there will be an old road sign off to one side of the platform. the sign will not be readable. Beside the platform will be a set of railroad tracks. Weeds have grown up between the tracks and they are in general disrepair. There may be other unreadable signs possibly a worn road (again overgrown). tumbleweeds and other brush have overgrown the place. It feels empty, dead, and slightly forbidding. Not a place you'd want to stay for to long.

It will not be totally wild west . There will also be otherworldly elements. Kind of "the gunslinger" esk with hints of post-apocalyptic goodness. these will be clear enough that the seen should look slightly wrong as well as otherworldly, but they shouldn't be overly apparent.

three POVs of my city.
