this is how i make the skins of the objects. i take an image thats the top one i inverse it so it's W+B rather then B+W then i add colors and textures. of course i spent about an hour and a half getting those lines where i want them, but i guess that was just necessary. if i hadn't then the textures would be all stretched, and we can't have that.

well, I've played with the lighting. it's working again except now it's hitting the dome. sigh.

It actually looks very cool, even though you can't really see that from here.the wood texture i found is amazing. the down side is that the skydome i brought back in (now that it's fixed) is messing with my lighting. grrrr shakes fist at skydome.

here's something i contributed to another project. it's this whole big group thing. the botom pic is the original and the top one is what i ended up with.

have you ever found a TV show or a book or something and thought it was really cool, and started reading or watching or whatever then found out it was actually years old and done only not really finished, bit just ended. that just happened to me. a couple years ago there was a group in Australia called BTR productions. they did some amazing Audio dramas, but then they closed down in 2005. extremely disappointing for me to find out now here in 2009. It's really sad when you fine out something's dead like that....

well here it is, my waystation. it's almost done as far as the structure go's and i've got the lighting how i want it, at least for now. Below are some pictures i took along the way, while i was still fiddling with it. the roofs were hard to do at first then i started fiddling with the verts and it all worked out. Texture comes next, i'm looking forward to it.

I made a bridge. the supports are going to be tricky.

a page for my comic. Actually this is a page for a filler arc. see i only draw the comic, i don't write it. so occasionally the writer will fall behind, and I'll take up the slack by putting in one of my filler pages. this is one of those. still i was looking at it and it's just, well. It's so much better then my art in the beginning. I started drawing the comic just about a year ago now and looking back i can see how much I've improved even though it doesn't seem like I've done anything different. some of my first pages didn't even have shadows, and now look at them.
